I believe in luck...luck allows us to take a chance circumstance and turn it into something or not... depends on how much you trust in yourself and your intuition because of course intuition always plays a part... luck can be good or bad or something in between but being alert to the whimsical fluttering of life's wings defines us all.  Met a wonderful client about 5 or 6 years ago totally by chance... she became a great client and a trusted friend and she finally succumbed to a double whammy: brain cancer and lyme disease but not before she taught me what it meant to seize the day...  I will miss Joan Safajek but treasure the memories...

Our lives are evolving.. we're resuming, accepting, growing, giving thanks and having fun again.  Christmas was a time of great joy!  Sharing with our extended family...rejoicing in the moment.  Carpe diem ...seize the day for it's all we ever really have....

I awoke in the thralls of a dream this morning... I was in a home I sold on the westside with Mom and we were dealing with the corpse of a loved one, a client who had 7 children who weren't local. Gary was searching through the contents and I was deciding that I couldn't bring myself to wash the body.  I wanted to treat Mom to Italian instead.... hmmm the irony on display and the tune in my head:  Jim Morrison singing "Riders on the Storm" .... Ray Manzarek doing justice with Roy Rogers playing his heart out Monday night at the Rio Theatre... my God we're alive!!!

I'm not even going to go there...  my mind is awake and churning...

So, the end of 2012 saw our T have a bone marrow biopsy right after Christmas and then, a huge celebration to close out 2012 and all that it was and jumpstart our hopes for 2013...

The McAnellis threw a raucous New Year's Eve party and over 50 people came and the hard core stayed 'til midnite... we ate great food and toasted the end of 2012 and voiced our hopes for our lucky year 2013!!!  What a ball and we ARE looking forward...

Carpe diem and Happy New Year!!!!
